Hi there!

Hi! Welcome to my corner of the internet. I'm a 26 year old therapist, feminist, photographer, and shop owner currently living in Seattle, Washington. My shop, Dealign with Feelings, is geared toward destigmatizing and normalizing mental health. I'm biased, but I think we have some pretty cute stuff :) Click the "shop" tab to see what we've got! I mainly post about my travel and daily life on here. With other random musings thrown in. I post more frequently (and about more feminism) on my Instagram @emmycoletti, so make sure you're following me there. Thanks for stopping by!

Becoming An Actual Gilmore Girl

I've lived in Connecticut for a little over a year now, and I'll admit. Not that often have I felt Gilmore Girl's has an accurate depiction of what is like. This weekend though, I became an actual Gilmore Girl. Needless to say, if you want the Gilmore Girl's experience: Yes, Washington Depot was the inspiration for the town, but it is such a boring place and not worth going to. FAIRFIELD ON THE OTHER HAND. It's everything you would want from a Star's Hollow. Just like, look at how cute the shops are decorated in this post!

Oh, also I have been wearing this sweater on repeat (aka every single day) and I am not ashamed. Here's the link. YOU NEED IT. This is the sweater I used to catch all my tears during Wonder the other day haha. So, needless to say, we have been through a lot together.

We met up for lunch with another Connecticut blogger! They do exist!! We went to Firehouse Deli which I would recommend. It's a nice quick bite. There isn't a lot of seating, just fyi. We literally got there during the busiest time haha, but luckily found a seat in the back! I got the mother-in-law wrap and really liked it!

Meet my new, real life, in person, friend Kim! J always laughs about how I make all my friends on the internet lol. I just like, literally don't know how else to make friends? Anyway, if you are in New England go to her blog for all the things to do!

Ok so here I am as an actual Gilmore Girl sitting on the steps of a gazebo telling J I am pregnant. KIDDING I AM NOT PREGNANT. It's a joke only fans of the revival will get, probably.

So we self-timered some pics by this cute Christmas tree in the gazebo and I was like, "Ok so my hands are always on your belly and it looks weird so I'm going to do something different this time." THIS is what I came up with you guys. I am very good at being in pictures, obviously.

Our self-timer takes three pictures in a row. The second picture was the same as the first, and this is what we came up with for the third. Why are we the most boring people? Lol. I guess that's what horrible work schedules and grad school will do to you. WE WILL BE FUN AGAIN.

Anyway! I am writing some finals today and then I will be pretty much done with my second to last semester of grad school. YAY!!!! It does seem like it's gone by fast, but when I think of how much I have left it seems soooooo far away. I honestly don't think I can make it, sometimes! But once April gets here everything will be ok because I will be done with my internship and just have one day a week of school. I CAN DO THIS.

My school schedule next year is... debatable. The nice thing is that my first class starts at 11:00, so I can take the 9:00 train and take Tucker on a long walk in the morning. The bad thing is that my last class gets out at 8:30 so I won't get home until like 11:00pm. I am fully planning to bring a toothbrush, face wipes, and all my night routine things to get ready for bed on the train haha.

A Happy List: 178

(Sweater above is found here.)

1/ A girl in my class was using a candy cane pen lol.

2/ We used our moviepass cards for the first time this weekend and they worked! I can't believe we didn't discover this sooner. Like 4 years ago at the start of our student life would have been great. Of course we find them when we have like 6 months left of student life lol.

3/ When Tucker crosses his legs.

4/ I got the cutest gnome mugs (link here)!! I am drinking out of one right now and the most obsessed. I love gnomes lol.

5/ This blogger has the cutest style! Ever since I moved out of my home state I have been having weird style identity crises lol.

6/ Also, this is one of my favorite therapy things I have seen this year. I know it's long, but it has SO MUCH good and interesting info. Next time you are going to deep clean the house or on a road trip, listen to it!

7/ All of the "gift guides" are making my shopping for all the December birthdays in my family SO MUCH EASIER. And for my own birthday list haha.

8/ WONDER. If you haven't seen it yet, RUN RUN RUN. If you know me, you know I NEVER cry. I actually have some weird things with crying and hate it and blah blah blah. But I have been trying to get over my biases and just LET IT OUT. So anyway, we went to see Wonder and like, not even 10 minutes in I was bawling lol. I ended up having to unroll my turtleneck and use it as a "tear catcher" hahahahaha. It was seriously the cutest movie and made me not want to have kid and to have kids ASAP at the same time?? Weird things, weird things.

9/ J let me straight razor shave his beard this weekend and it was just as satisfying as I always thought it would be.

10/ This pumpkin hot chocolate mix is so good! I tried something a little different from my usual and I'm glad it paid off!

11/ BONUS HAPPY POINT! Bright Eyes! I am loving his music right now. He was such a thing when I was in high school... well maybe just to me haha. Anyway I haven't really listened to him since then, but he just came up on one of my playlists and I am FEELIN' IT. (Ok also not by Bright Eyes, but this song is so pretty. Oh, and I love this one too.)

Funny things J said this week:

J: "What does RT mean in media speak?"
Me: "Re-tweet??"

Me: "Do you get hit on a lot?"
J: "No. People more or less just avoid me."

J when he saw my wrap around braid: "Gosh. Nice like... wreath hairstyle."

Also, I have recently discovered the World Market is my favorite store in the whole world. I am actually mad at people for not telling me about it earlier?? Like everything is just so amazing! Look at all this cool stuff I found!

Weekly Favorites/Reviews

Hi! Ok so I have been finding good things. I am mad because I forgot to add my flossers to this, but that's ok, I will add them next week! If you have any cool things you have been loving lately, let me know!

1/ Zoya nail polish: Ok! So I love these because they are non-toxic! Every year they have a huge sale for Black Friday and I load up. I got a lot of green/blue tones this year lol, but idk. It's just what I was digging when I was shopping! So anyway, add it to your calendar next year to check for the code the Monday before Thanksgiving! Their nail polish is usually $10, and I got all of this for $35 aka $5 a bottle.

2/ Sonic Eraser Pro: Ok, so this is cool. You use it to apply your serums or lotions and it vibrates and warms to help the product break through your skins outer barrier. I am a heathen and still use my hands to apply my liquid makeups haha so it has been fun to use this!

3/ Setting spray: I am loving this setting spray! It's crazy how big of a different setting spray makes for your makeup lol. To think of all the years I went without... ah..... Anyway, the only thing I don't like about this is that the stream comes out too heavy in one spot, so I have to hold it far away from my face. I think it may just be a small manufacturing error!

4/ HSI Titanium Straightener: OH MY GOSH!! Ok so I have been using a $20 straightener from Amazon lol and goodness! I have been missing out! This thing is amazing. It heats up SO FAST and you can control what degree it heats up to. They give you a little guide of what is best for your hair. It leaves your hair feeling sooooo smooth! Also it has the funniest little red silk bag for storing. I love it.

5/ Straight razor shave kit: How cute is this for a gift for the men in your life!! I swear men are so hard to buy for! I have been wanting J to try straight razor shaving for soooo long, just because I am so curious as to how it works. Anyway, so if you still need Christmas gifts, now you know what to get!

Ok so I have obviously been obsessed with the asian fashion websites lately. They are practically all I wear these days! I just think the pricing is so good and the quality is just the same as you would get if you went to Forever 21 or H&M or any of those stores. Except the stuff is SO MUCH CUTER! Here are some of my favorite sweaters. Something I do when I order is I make sure to measure everything and read the reviews! When shopping sweaters and in doubt of size, size up!

Lemme know what good things you've found! I am currently on the hunt for another eyeliner that I like! I liked the one I mentioned in my last weekly faves, but the lid kept popping off and annoying me so I threw it away lol. Let me know!
