How To Trick Your Dog Into Eating Healthy

Sunday, November 12, 2017

Do you ever want to get revenge on your dog? I do lol. Tucker is cute but also a rebel. When I saw this campaign for dog food with better ingredients, I wasn't sure if Tucker would like it, but was determined to trick him into it lol.

So, step 1 of tricking your dog into liking food that is better for them: Take them to PetSmart and let them experience dog heaven/pick out their own food. Tucker was sniffing allllll the sniffs. We also saw a corgi and a bulldog puppy. It was a good day.

We chose the Purina® Pro Plan® dog food because it provides nutrition in wet and dry products for different taste preferences, age, dietary considerations, or activity/lifestyle in for platforms for dogs. They also have grain-free or no corn, wheat, or soy options for those of you who want your dog to follow in your footsteps lol. They are backed by a team of over 400 scientists, nutritionists, behaviorists, and veterinarians... so no ingredient is unnecessary. Everything is precisely and purposefully selected. Find what formula is best for your dog here

Now, step 2: Introduce it to them in a neural environment to raise interest. (As you can see, interest was raised.)

Step 3: Build suspense. Make them wait for it.

Step 4: Pour into bowl, while continuing to build suspense.

Step 5: Offer it to pupper. See if pupper takes bait... PUPPER TOOK BAIT.

Step 6: Take photo with pupper to use as collateral when he forgets how nice you are to him.

Step 7: Take blackmail photo of pupper to show to dog friends when he misbehaves.

Lol k but in all reality it was fun to give Tucker some yums! I feel like once you find out how someone treats their dog, that's all you really need to know about them!

Tailgating!

Sunday, October 15, 2017
This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.  I have been eating vegetarian for 7 years and I truly love and eat these products all the time! Let me know if you try them! #TailgateWithATwist #SeasonalSolutions #CollectiveBias

We had the cutest picnic this weekend! I have been dying to use my new picnic blanket, so we grabbed out fave veggie cuisine from Walmart and grilled it up for a little "homegating" party. Since we are busy with grad school and our puppy and work, we opted for some simple and quick recipes.

I try to eat mostly vegetarian and people are always like, "So, what can you eat if you don't eat meat?!" And I am always like, "EVERYTHING!" You can literally make all the same foods with veggie meat as you can with real meat, and it's way healthier and animal friendly :) Hence, my two favorites that I recreated:  pulled pork sandwiches and hot dogs haha.

ALSO these are SO fast to whip up. If you're like me and feel so busy all the time  you KNOW how nice t is to have recipes that are good and also veryyyyy quick. So, just another reason to try some veggie cuisine.

If you want to try these recipes here is a rebate valid for MorningStar Farms® Frozen Veggie products. Buy 3 for any variety, any size. Click here for it! Also click here for recipe inspiration.

This football pigs-in-a-blanket is my favorite thing. If you know anything about me you know that I am obsessed with hot dogs. These are literally so easy to make and so yummy!

Ingredients needed: 1 egg, 1 package of MorningStar Farms® Veggie Dogs, 1 package of croissant dough, mustard.

Step 1.) Roll out the croissant dough. Cut into strips. Cut the hot dogs into 3 pieces each.
Step 2.) Wrap the hot dogs in the croissant dough and arrange in a football shape on a pan. Brush with egg wash.
Step 3.) Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes (or until golden brown).
Step 4.) Add mustard in the shape of football strings (the white part). Enjoy!

Ok so if you know me, you know I am ALSO very obsessed with pulled pork. I am so excited Morningstar Farms has pulled pork now so I can still be veg friendly while eating one of my faves! These are also super quick and easy to make.

Ingredients: buns, 1 package MorningStar Farms® Veggie Pulled Pork, bbq sauce.

Step 1.) Cook the pulled pork. I used the microwave and it literally took 3 minutes! So easy!
Step 2.) Grill the buns, add pork, and add bbq sauce! (And any other toppings you like to use, I am just old school.)
Step 3.) Enjoy!

Don't worry. Tucker was not left behind at this party. He was actually pretty good and sat for *mostly* the entire time we ate.

Me to Tucker: "Hey we are going to eat this food and I will give you occasional treats if you are good and sit down ok? Can you do that?"
Tucker: "TL;DR"

TIS THE SEASON

Tuesday, May 16, 2017
This shop/post has been compensated by Collective Bias, INC. and The Coca-Cola Company, all opinions are mine alone. #PlayPauseRefresh #CollectiveBias

TIS THE SEASON FOR THE BEST T.V. SHOWS. I swear to you, there are SO many good movies and shows out right now. Our weekends are basically spent catching up on our favorite shows with some treats. With how crazy school is right now, I'm definitely not complaining about the chill nights!

vitaminwater is my go to Coca-Cola product. I always get the orange flavor because it's just so. dang. good. Just yesterday I discovered there is a strawberry lemonade flavor and it is AMAZING.

Enter the Coca-Cola sweepstakes here! You just need to:

1. Grab your fave Coca-Cola beverage and schedule your T.V. night.
2. Take a photo of how you enjoy Coca-Cola during T.V. night. (Make sure the program you are watching stays on your TV, but out of your photo.)
3. Share your photo on Twitter or Instagram with both #programyournight and #sweepstakes for a chance to win cool prizes!

Anyway, here's a lil' recipe for your next T.V. night! Buttered ranch popcorn (I may have munched on this while my camera charged because it was too good to wait for, so that's why it looks slightly depleted in the picture lol.)

Step 1: Pop some popcorn and grab a packet of ranch.
Step 2: Melt 4 tbsp of butter and pour it over your popcorn. Sprinkle the ranch and mix well.
Step 3: Enjoy!

It's super easy to make, but way better than regular popcorn! At least I think so :).

V good opportunity to use my macro lens filters lol. Look at that buttery ranch popcorn goodness.

THE TRUE HEROES. I get a vitaminwater every Tuesday for the train home from school. They just have such a good flavor that doesn't leave me feeling too heavy? I don't know how to explain it, but I am a fan.

If you have any good T.V. show recommendations, plz let me know!

XOXO

DIY Polaroid Memory Box

Friday, January 27, 2017

This DIY is super easy and quick!  Plus, it makes such a cute gift for Valentine’s Day, or any special occasion!

This is a cute, functional way to showcase all your favorite memories over the years through a unique memory box. Simply pull the tab and watch all your favorite memories unravel before your eyes.

I got this wooden crate at Michael's for $1. I painted it white because I want it to be timeless, but any color would look good. I chose gray cardstock and cut it into strips slightly wider than my Polaroid photos. I glued the strips together with super glue and folded them accordion style. I added a little ribbon to the top of the pullout for easier access. Lastly, I peeled the backs off the Polaroid photos and stuck them to the cardstock. And that was it!

I got the cutest gold and pink tissue paper at Target and used it as wrapping. I think it turned out really cute and festive!

XOXO
