Moving Day Snitches!

We moved out of our Millcreek house today! Jake's friends were so nice and came to help move a lot of the boxes. I spent the morning cleaning the house and my mom came after her running training to help, which was also very nice. She took some of my food which was good and made me feel less wasteful. (These pictures are from me showing her how to wear these cute little bandanas lol.)

Then we went to lunch at Wallaby's in American Fork which was pretty good! I just like DEVOURED my food haha. I was soooo hungry. I had sauce allllll over my hands and didn't even care! Their blueberry crumble dessert is good, but I do wish it had more crumble/dough. Anyway! Now we are on to my mom's house for a bit while Jake looks for a job in Seattle (and I look for housing!)

I tried the new nacho box from Taco Bell. Here to report it is not that good. It needed to be hotter!

Cults and Conspiracy Theories

Today was good! I prepped some social media content this morning and then saw three clients. After dinner I was walking Tucker and right before I got to my house I saw the woman from yesterday with her husband coming toward me! They wanted to know the rest of the story with the dog haha. So I told them and then we chatted for a bit! They were so funny about Tucker. They kept saying, "He is the most beautiful dog!" And the husband took a picture of him haha. It was so cute and made me so happy to connect with people!

I feel kind of bad that I haven't put much effort into connecting with neighbors this past year. I have just been in such a yucky place and able to put up with 0% haha. Wherever we move next, I want to make more of an effort.

I have also been listening to the podcast Uncover: The Village, Season 1. Which is about NXIVM and sooo interesting! I started watching Smallville again and was trying to figure out Chloe's name, so I googled her and it brought up all the criminal stuff about NXIVM. It's just crazy that all this stuff happened in like, today's world.

Somebody Save Me

Today was good! While Jake was at church, I took Tucker on a run. A few minutes after we got started, one of my neighbors waved me down and told me all about this stray dog she had seen and was worried about. She told me she had put food and water out for it and showed me a video of what it looked like. I told her I would keep an eye out and went on my way.

Instead of turning where I usually turn, I decided to see if I could find the dog and went a different way. Well, I found him a few minutes later! I ended up getting him to follow me and Tucker for a few houses before another neighbor pulled into his garage. I pointed the dog out and asked him if it was his. He said it wasn't and we chatted a bit about it. He ended up getting a hold of the dog while I took Tucker home so I could have a leash to put the dog on. When I came back, the guy said there was poop on his collar so I looped my leash around the dog's neck while the guy sprayed the poop off. Then I hooked the dog up to the leash and walked back to my house.

I posted about the dog on Utah Lost and Found pets and on my Instagram. But, then I decided that if someone was driving around looking for him, they would be on the busier street. So, I started walking over there and was also going to stop at that woman's house to let her know I found the dog. (I would want someone to follow up with me!) I ended up stopping at the house across the street from hers to talk to a different neighbor, and she saw me and came over so excited! She was so so happy I found him it was so cute lol. We all chatted for a bit and then I walk out to the busy road and FaceTimed my mom on the way. While I was on FaceTime with her, I heard a kid's voice calling out. So I got off the phone and tried to follow it, thinking it was the dog's owner. I went in and out of one neighborhood before coming back to the main road.

Right as I came out to the main road, a woman drove by and saw me! She pulled over and her dog jumped right in! I was so happy to find his home! Then Jake came home from church and I felt like an entire day had gone by he had missed so much lol.

I also started watching Smallville again and it's been so good! Oh, also I was just laying on the bed and Tucker rested his little head on me haha it was so cute.

Chivalry Is Dead But You're Still Kinda Cute

Today was good! I spend a few hours this morning prepping social media content for my therapy Instagram account (now just to write the captions ugh). Then I picked up some key lime shakes from Chick Fil A WHICH WERE SOOOO GOOD and hung out with my friend, Hannah, for a bit before work! It is always nice and refreshing for me to spend time with friends in real life! I'm really hoping we have friends in our church or neighborhood in Seattle!

I only had 3 clients which is always a good balance for me. I felt so bad, because I left Tucker outside thinking it wouldn't rain and it TOTALLY rained haha. He was soaked when I got home! I am feeling real good about myself though because I've recently discovered that if I let him in and run downstairs (where there is carpet) then I can have the carpet absorb a lot of his wet paws instead of it getting all over the hardwood!

How messy he is when it rains is honestly such a big factor in us considering doing an apartment instead of a house when we move.

I came home and had a dinner for half of a hot dog (it had freezer burn) and naan haha. We are moving in like a week (to my mom's as of now but also maybe Seattle depending on job stuff) and I really don't want to buy a bunch of food just to have to leave it haha.

And now I am just organizing computer stuff (prepping posts for my food instagram and organizing photos) and watching The Act! It's really good in the sense that it is absolutely one of the more disturbing shows I watched.

Anyway, hope you are all having a good Thursday!

P.S. This jumpsuit is a hand me down from my sister and the shoes are here

There's A Possibility

Wednesday was chill! I had supervision in the morning and then went to my mom's house. I was going to go to a training at BYU but wasn't feeling it.

Jake was in San Francisco for a job interview and we were going to go to Park City that night for a work thing he had, but his flight got delayed and I had clients the next day so it just didn't make a lot of sense! I still went down to my mom's and we just chilled and tried a new food place, Capriotti's (see the post I did on it here)!

It was really good! I want to go back and try the other vegetarian options.

After dinner we went to Last Course and I got the blueberry lavender ice cream, which was so good! They also had like, real spoons, for testers which I loved so much haha.

Also, I propagated my basil plant a month or so again and gave one to my mom and look how big it's gotten!!!! It's so cool you can grow plants from your plants lol.

Mother's Day

I was going to go to church on Mother's Day but then last minute decided not to. My friend, Leah, texted me and asked if I wanted to go for brunch so we met up in Park City and got french toast at The Bridge Cafe! Afterward we went to Atticus and I got this cute kid's Pride and Prejudice book for my mom. Each page had just one word on it like "dance" or "marry" haha. Her collection of Jane Austen stuff has gotta be massive at this point!

We chilled at home for a bit before going to Jake's parent's house for dinner! Jake watched the e-sports finale or whatever and we were laughing at the team names being like "Team Secret" or "DCBJEG" haha.

While we were at Jake's parent's house he got a call back for a job interview in San Francisco at this company's headquarters! Which was very exciting! Oh, and also, these were my nails for this week haha.

Overall it was a good Sunday!

Saturday was good! We went to the dog park for a bit. And also my nails still looked so good after it being a whole week!

We read for a bit!

I tried a bunch of the chocolates I made, which was so fun! Also Tucker was so mad he couldn't have any lol.

Also lol at this ninja Jake made from leftover paper from his church lesson.
