Europe Trip: Paris - Day 3

Saturday, October 6, 2018

This was our last day in Paris before we went to Amsterdam. We started the morning off with walking to Eric Kayser where I got some type of apple croissant and a hot chocolate. I am probably so American when I say this but I would have preferred Beans and Brews or Starbuck's pumpkin scone hahah. Like I said, the food in Paris wasn't too impressive to me! I love American foods haha. The walk was so pretty though with all the fall leaves and the perfect temperature.

After breakfast we went to the Musee D'Orsay. It was pretty much like the others haha. Idk, like I said before. I'm not much of a museum person. What I did notice at this one was how UNAWARE people are of others! Examples: There was this huge clock (see below) that was really cool so everyone was taking picture. Typically you take you picture and then leave 10 seconds later so other people can take their pictures. But this stupid lady and her friend were standing in front of it for like LITERALLY 5 minutes trying to get the "perfect picture". It made me hate my generation lol. You can kind of see her in the side of the picture below, waiting for the guy to move so she can go back and take 10,000 pictures.

Ok also, lol the guy standing in front of a picture on his phone. He was also there for like 5 minutes ugh. It's like, people are trying to take photos of this, dude! Get off your phone and go somewhere else!!

After the Musee D'Orsay, we went to the Rodin Museum. Apparently everything there was made by the same guy which was kind of cool. I also liked the outside part of it.

We walked to lunch at a place called Nicole's. The woman who served us was named Muriel and was the brightest star in all of Paris. She was seriously soooo nice and had the biggest smile on her face. I loved her haha. I got a burger because I am American and it was pretty good! Not as good as McDonald's I kid you not lmao but still good.

After lunch we walked around this neighborhood called Le Marais. It struck me as really liberal... just see the bread shop with phallic shaped breads lmao. Anyway, it was fun to walk around!

We got gelato at Pozzetto which was really good!

We also went to St. Martin's Canal where Amelie goes to skip stones. It was one of my favorite parts of the whole trip! It's a bit out of the way from like, the Eiffel Tower and stuff, but I would definitely recommend it!

We went to the cutest store across from the canal called La Passerelle where I got a cute Paris print for our gallery wall and some socks for J. Then we walked to Saint Chapelle... which was closed again lol. But, we saw cool things along the way!

We watched the sunset from this bridge and it was so pretty! Me and my mom copied my brother and his girlfriends picture to be funny lol.

Our last activity of the night was getting crepes and going to the Louvre! There was a girl there taking selfies with a selfie stick literally the entire time we were there. Like you are probably thinking I am exaggerating because that would mean she was standing there taking selfies for 20-30 minutes, but my mom can back me up. It was bad haha. Once again, made me hate our generation lol.

Last but not least, pics of my boys I got that made me very happy!
