Hi there!

Hi! Welcome to my corner of the internet. I'm a 26 year old therapist, feminist, photographer, and shop owner currently living in Seattle, Washington. My shop, Dealign with Feelings, is geared toward destigmatizing and normalizing mental health. I'm biased, but I think we have some pretty cute stuff :) Click the "shop" tab to see what we've got! I mainly post about my travel and daily life on here. With other random musings thrown in. I post more frequently (and about more feminism) on my Instagram @emmycoletti, so make sure you're following me there. Thanks for stopping by!

You guys, I don't know how I haven't made donuts until now?? I have been missing out BIG TIME! These were so good I literally ate 3 straight out of the oven and had to bake another batch lol. They are too good to keep to myself, I had to share!
We got the new Malt-O-Meal Double Chocolate Brownie Crunch cereal the other day at here's a coupon link if you want to try it). I have eaten a bowl every day for breakfast lol. So, I figured, why not combine two beautiful breakfast foods to create the ultimate breakfast?! And thus, these cereal donuts were born.
Here's the recipe for the donuts! (I used this recipe but made tweaks. What I did is below!)
  • 1 cup of flour (add more if it looks too runny)
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 6 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Add it all together and mix (I use a kitchenmaid). Scrape into a bag, cut a tip off, and pipe into the donut pan. Don't worry if it isn't perfect, because when you flip them over after cooking the other side is flawless haha.
When they're done, add frosting! Once again, I based mine off of this recipe, but made tweaks. What I did is listed below! (You might need to make two (or three!) batches, depending on how much frosting you want.)
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 1/2 (ish) cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Whisk it all together, put into a bag, cut off a corner, and pipe onto your donuts.
Last but not least, add your Brownie Crunch!
If you try these, let me know how you like them! You can find more recipes on their Pinterest page here.
