Christmas In Dublin!

Saturday, January 6, 2018
Christmas Day was super chill. We woke up and exchanged stockings and explored an empty Dublin.

Also lol. We were trying to find the Temple Bar and I found this and was like, "Huh! It looks different real life? But I guess this is it?" So I took a picture and then we kept walking. Like a minute later we stumbled upon the REAL Temple Bar haha. In the future, I want to screenshot everything I want to photography so I can make sure I am at the right place!

We went back the next morning and I tested out my wide angle lens. I really need to use it more! Also these photos are soooo cringey to me b/c the whole JPEG thing but WHATEVER.

The hotel we stayed at was super close to this cute waterway. It was one of those things that was so picturesque, but really hard to capture on camera. I will remember walking along the water for a long time though. There was hardly anyone outside and the sun was setting, and it was just so peaceful.

The next morning we checked out of our hotel and headed home! I was getting ready in the morning and I was showing J the difference between my hair being curled fresh and leftover curls, and he was like, "Hey is that one of those things where it's like, your hair vs the girl he cheats with??" (Referencing this Tweet, if you never saw it haha.) I was cracking up because it was soooo just like not what the joke was about, but also his comment confirmed that men truly don't understand that joke hahahahaha.

After we started driving away, I realized I left my Toblerone in our room. Nicely J volunteered to go back and get it and me and the Toblerone of my dreams were reunited once again.

I read a lot of Into The Woods on my way home! It was a weird coincidence that it takes place in Ireland and we were in Ireland lol. Anyway, it is v good if you need a good book to read!

We got back to New York to find our car had a flat tire... and the weather app said it "felt like -4" hahaha. So, J changed it while I took all the snow and ice off of the windows. It probably only took us like 20 minutes and then we were off! I was a lot less annoyed than I thought I would be haha. Which is progress for me.

We picked Tucker up from the sitters and then went to bed! The jet lag there and back wasn't even bad. I think it's like a 5 hour time difference or something? So it was really no big deal!

Anyway, this was such a fun trip! It was the trip that inspired J to do more trips, and the trip that taught me we are capable adults who can do successful international trips by ourselves! I am really excited for this year, because it's the year I finish grad school and we become double income! We plan to still live a modest lifestyle of eating McDonald's and living in 1,000 square feet haha. But anything extra we are going to put into savings or travel, so I am excited to see where we go! As of now we are planning somewhere in the Caribbean for our anniversary over the summer and Germany for Christmas! So, you guys will have to let me know if you have any recommendations in any of those places :)

The Eve Of Christmas Eve (Ireland - Day 5)

Thursday, January 4, 2018
The next morning we started the drive back to Dublin. It actually wasn't as bad as we thought it would be! Driving in a different county was super fun and didn't feel like a "chore". Like I said before, I am convinced we should rent cars for all our future trips.

Ok also look at how cute the houses there were. They were like, modern cottages! I loved it. And how cute was the yellow door by our hotel?

The Cliffs Of Insanity!!!! (Ireland - Day 4)

Wednesday, January 3, 2018
Ok so lol at this day. The mean people on TripAdvisor told us that we might not be able to see the Cliffs of Moher because it would be too foggy. We were driving close enough past it anyway on our way to Galway, so we decided to just see for ourselves. Well, it was SO FOGGY! This was pretty much the only semi-fail of the trip. Although, I still thought it was fun to walk around and see the castle that was there. And I am always down for driving around, so I wasn't mad about the drive to and from the foggy cliffs either. But, I do want to go back one day to see them! Probably in the summer lol.

Dingle Bells, Dingle Bells, Dingle All The Way (Ireland - Day 3)

Monday, January 1, 2018
Ok so this was arguable one of the best days. We stayed in Killarney but drove the Dingle peninsula. So, we started out driving from Kinsale to Killarney, got breakfast, and then drove around the peninsula and then back to Killarney for dinner. I was worried it was going to be like, too much driving, but it was actually super fun.
