Happy Halloween From Candace And Toni!

Puppy Halloween Party!

So my dog's dog park had a Halloween party hahahahaha. It was BY FAR the most amazing experience I have ever had.

They had a little treat table where you could make a treat bag for your dog lol.

The pups were like this during party setup lol. I'm sure that treat table smelled like all the smells.

They also had a human treat table with candy and clam chowder. (Very much New England lol.)

They had a costume contest and 7 prize bags for best costume. Sadly, Tucker did not win anything. The dog costumes were good though! Idk why but this chubby lab dressed as a clown is like my favorite thing.

(That beagle's face ^ cracks me up!!!)

Ok so this other dog's costume fell off and Tucker totally stole it!!! These pics crack me up haha. He's got a lot of personality, that's for sure!

We used to see bulldogs ALL. THE. TIME. when we lived in New York, but this is the first we've seen a while! He won an award for being dressed as a giraffe lol.

This dog also won an award for being a Shiba Inu (a Japanese dog) being dressed like a sushi lol. I love it.

I took pictures for people in this little photo booth! It was definitely the most interesting photography job I've ever had!

Even though Tucker is a handful sometimes, having a dog definitely makes our life more fun! The people at the dog park are such a weird community themselves lol. I don't know where we would get our social interaction if we didn't go there every day lol.

Bennington, Vermont!

I finally visited Bennington! My friend, Autumn, and I became friends when she was going to college in Bennington and it always looks so appealing! I obviously ended up choosing a different route, but it was fun to think about how my life would have been different if I would have gone to school in Vermont.

Ain't No Mountain High Enough

Sorry I am taking like actual years to post all the pictures I have taken over the past couple weeks. Yo girl can't get it together, apparently!

So these are from Vermont when we drove up Mount Equinox. It's about a 3 hour drive from us and so not bad at all! Once again: Best thing about New England = PROXIMITY!

The houses were perfect, of course. I wasn't kidding in my last post when I say they are all so cute and renovated. Which is NECESSARY! A girl on my Instagram said she lived in Vermont and their house was from like the 1800's! CRAZINESS.

I love trees everywhere, but I also love wide open spaces with mountains in the distance! I need to find somewhere that has both! (Like Vermont, I guess lol.)

The trees on Mount Equinox are GOOD!! I'll just tell you that much.

So there are multiple places you can stop along the drive to see views. I MISS VIEWS!! My favorite thing to do when we lived in Utah was to get food and drive to a viewpoint and eat haha. Connecticut doesn't really have any (but we do have beaches!), so it was nice to be back!

Our dog child also enjoyed the drive, although did not like when we left him in the back while we took pics lol.

Ok so this is how it looks more near the top. LIKE HI ARE YOU SERIOUS.

LIKE HELLO EVERGREENS. I WILL BE SEEING YOU DAILY SHORTLY. My fave trees <3. If I ever got a tattoo it would be a pine tree for sure. They always remind me of visiting my grandma in Washington.

So yeah, you can see we were a little late to the "burst" of fall colors (but also we have heard this year hasn't been as good in general compared to past years) BUT WHO CARES CAUSE THAT VIEW.

This is perhaps my fave pic. It reminds me of India when we hiked one of the foothills of the Himalayas and the hills were just rolling at the top. (If anyone can remember when my blog name was Much Love, India, then YOU are the ultimate trooper with my blog chronicles lol.)

When u tryn look good for the Instagram but the wind be playin'. Speaking of Instagram, thanks to everyone who isn't hard core judging me as I make it a side hustle. My grad school internship isn't paid and I don't have time for work (other than photography) so it's been helping us survive, even though it's at the cost of my dignity lmao. So thanks to everyone who has been nice and not judgmental.

One of the reasons I wanted a big dog was because I wanted him to adventure with us. Tucker does not disappoint in this department! I can't wait until we have a yard he can use to get all his energy out when we aren't adventuring. (Speaking of, I found this house for rent in Portland the other day and I am DYING! Can we move now?! I mean !!!!)

Please appreciate J's man bun and comment nice things to him.

LOVING THIS CRV as we drive all over New England. It truly is the best.

I am so bummed because last night we were going to go to the drive-in and put the seats back. I was STOKED to watch the movie from the back of our car. But, much to my dismay, I got the movie times wrong so we missed it :( Needless to say I shed actual tears and was very upset. I guess this is what I have to look forward to in adulthood?

The drive back down was so pretty! They told us to put the car in 1st gear... or some other gear like that. My car was making a weird noise so I was basically panicking the whole way down that our car was going to break lol. Cars breaking down is one of my biggest anxieties, idk why. Just like the thought of being amongst other cars and not being in control of my own is a huge NO THANKS. So, it's totally worth it to me to spend a little more, or get a little less fancy of a car if I know it is reliable.

I feel like I am rambling a lot in this post but so be it! It's be a while! I am chatty! We will deal!

SO THIS WAS THE BEST PART OF THE TRIP!! We got apple and maple donuts! THEY WERE SO GOOD! I got a dozen thinking it would be like, way too much. But plot twist: We ate all of them that day lol. They were seriously so good!

We obviously got apple cider, because hello? We are trying to live our best quintessential life here. We also got maple soda which wasn't my favorite, but I am glad we tried or I would have always wondered. I also got J some rootbeer. He was so confused because it was clear, but it turns out they add coloring to make it brown??? How weird, huh? I had no idea it wasn't naturally brown!

It was my favorite fall thing we've done so far! Connecticut has a bunch of apple cider and apple donut places (it's a very farm-to-table state, which I had no idea before I moved here) so we need to go still! I actually think we are going tomorrow because I was sad we didn't do any Halloween things. So we are doing a corn maze and getting pumpkins, etc.

I'm very excited!
